Extended Care & Seasonal Programs for School-Aged Children
Kindergarten - 2nd Grade
At Sunrise International Montessori School, we offer flexible and supportive programs tailored specifically for school-aged children in kindergarten through 2nd grade. These programs provide a safe, nurturing environment designed to enrich your child’s learning beyond the regular school day.

Before & After Care
6:30 AM – 6:00 PM (Monday – Friday)
Our before- and after-school care provides a calm, engaging space where children can ease into the day or unwind after school.
Activities include:
- Quiet reading and puzzles in the morning
- Outdoor play and arts & crafts in the afternoon
- Montessori-inspired games and activities
- Healthy breakfast and snacks
- Social time with peers
This flexible care option ensures your child remains in a familiar and enriching environment throughout the day.
Transportation can be arranged for those children attending William Byrne Elementary School.
Release Day Care
We offer full-day care on most school release days (excluding major holidays) when public schools are closed.
What to expect:
- Fun, theme-based activities
- Hands-on learning experiences
- Extra time for play, music, and social development
Summer Program
Our Montessori Summer Program blends continued learning with seasonal fun and is open to kindergarten through 2nd-grade children.
Program highlights:
- Reading, writing, math, and science curriculum
- Nature walks, gardening, and water play
- Science experiments and creative art projects
- Exposure to multiple languages and cultures
- Weekly themes, guest visitors, and special events
- Optional piano lessons on Thursdays (available for a small fee)
- Flexible enrollment options including full- and part-time
Our summer program helps children transition smoothly between school years while keeping their curiosity and love of learning alive.
Advance registration is required for release day and summer programs due to limited space.
“The greatest help you can give your children is the freedom to go about their own work in their own way.”
